Dr. Magauran is a board certified ophthalmologist specializing in oculoplastics and cosmetic eye surgery. He attended undergraduate studies at the University College Dublin Ireland, and received his medical degree from University of Connecticut Medical School. He completed his residency training in ophthalmology at the University of Florida in Gainesville and his fellowship training in ophthalmic plastics surgery at Kresge Eye Institute, Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. In addition, he earned his Masters in Business Administration from the Isenberg School of Management at University of Massachusetts.

Dr. Magauran has practiced oculoplastics surgery for more than 25 years with special expertise in post-Mohs reconstruction, blepharoplasty, medical and cosmetic Botox, tearing disorders and  thyroid eye disease.  He has held academic appointments at UMass Medical School and the State University of New York in Buffalo and is a volunteer ophthalmologist with the Island of Nevis Eye Care Program.  He has authored or coauthored numerous medical journal articles and has lectured at ophthalmology conferences nationally and internationally. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the New England Oculoplastics Society.

Dr. Magauran resides on the Cape and enjoys spending time with his family and their three dogs.
