John T. H. Mandeville has trained at some of the most respected institutions in the country.  He received his MD and PhD degrees from Columbia University after completing his undergraduate studies at MIT. Dr. Mandeville completed his internship and ophthalmology residency at UCLA. He was one of only twelve physicians awarded a 2-year fellowship sponsored by the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS), which he completed at the Harvard-affiliated Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary and other institutions.

Dr. Mandeville’s clinical practice focus is cosmetic and reconstructive eye plastic surgery.  This includes surgery of the delicate tissues surrounding the eyes, including the eyelids and brows, tear ducts and orbits. He also has extensive experience in cosmetic surgery, fillers and Botox applications.

His scientific background helps Dr. Mandeville to critically evaluate the latest treatments and technologies in the field of oculoplastics.  He lectures at regional eye society meetings, hospital grand rounds and other venues. Dr. Mandeville has trained ophthalmology residents at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, taught workshop courses through the American Academy of Ophthalmology and met with legislators in Washington, DC on behalf of patients and physicians. He has published papers and review articles in a wide variety of scientific journals. Having held leadership positions at the local, state and national levels, Dr. Mandeville is well respected by his peers.
