Bio
Dr. Parker earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Cell & Molecular Biology, Biomedical Engineering and Master of Science in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Rush Medical College of Rush University in Chicago, IL where he was inducted as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honors Medical Society and Gold Humanism Honor Society. Upon graduation from medical school. Dr. Parker completed his internship and residency at Illinois Eye & Ear Infirmary in Chicago, IL where he also served as Chief Resident. He recently completed his glaucoma fellowship at Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary.
He is an active member of the American Glaucoma Society, American Academy of Ophthalmology, New England Ophthalmological Society, and the Massachusetts Society of Eye Physicians and Surgeons. Dr. Parker is dedicated to delivering glaucoma and cataract eye care by tailoring treatment options to the unique needs of each individual. His interests include laser procedures for the treatment of glaucoma, sustained glaucoma drug delivery platforms, cataract surgery including multifocal intraocular lenses, minimally invasive glaucoma surgery, and traditional filtration glaucoma surgery.
Dr. Parker grew up in the small town of Dexter, Michigan. In his spare time, Dr. Parker enjoys cooking, golfing, hiking, skiing, and adventuring around New England. Dr. Parker will be providing glaucoma care and cataract surgery at OCB, serving the communities of Boston and Weymouth.
