Dr. Abazari is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in cornea, cataract, and anterior segment surgery. She earned her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and completed extensive training at top institutions including University of Rochester, University of Virginia, and Wills Eye Institute.
Dr. Abazari has over a decade of clinical and academic experience, including 11 years as a faculty member and Ophthalmology Residency Program Director at Stony Brook University. She later joined Tufts New England Eye Center, where she led the Cornea Fellowship Program and continued to focus her practice on complex corneal and cataract surgeries. In addition to patient care, Dr. Abazari is committed to advancing the field of ophthalmology through clinical research and participation in clinical trials. Her involvement in research ensures that her patients have access to the latest treatments and innovations in eye care.
Dr. Abazari is deeply committed to personalized patient care, tailoring each treatment plan to meet her patients’ individual needs. Her clinical interests include corneal and ocular surface diseases, cataract surgery (including femtosecond laser-assisted cataract surgery and premium intraocular lenses), corneal transplantation (penetrating keratoplasty, DSEK, DMEK), and laser vision correction.
