Dr. Moon specializes in cataract surgery and the medical, laser and surgical care of glaucoma. She earned her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine. She then completed her internship at Newton Wellesley Hospital and her residency in ophthalmology at Tufts New England Medical Center’s New England Eye Center in Boston.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Moon pursued and completed fellowship training in glaucoma at the Casey Eye Institute and Devers Eye Institute in Portland, Oregon. During this time, Dr. Moon held the academic appointment of adjunct professor in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Casey Eye Institute, Oregon Health and Sciences University.
Dr. Moon is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Glaucoma Society. She was the recipient of the Charles J. Preefer, MD Award for Outstanding Research at Tufts New England Eye Center and has presented her glaucoma research at ophthalmology conferences throughout the country. She has also published several book chapters on glaucoma. Dr. Moon speaks English and Korean.
