OCB congratulates Sharon Brown, OCB Director of Operations, for being honored as one of 20 women leaders in eye care who are paving the way for the future generation of women entering the field of ophthalmology.
Sharon joined OCB in1995 as an ophthalmic technician with 10 years of experience. The next year, she assumed the position of Clinical Manager of the Boston office and in 2000 was promoted to Regional Director for OCB’s Cape Cod practices. In 2010, Sharon became Director of Operations at OCB and has served as the Administrator for several of OCB’s affiliated surgery center. Sharon holds leadership positions with a variety of community and ophthalmic organizations. She is Board President of the National Board of Certified Ophthalmic Executives, and serves on the Advisory Board of the Hawaiian Eye Foundation. In the community Sharon continues to serve on several Chamber of Commerce boards and is a very active member of the Lions Club.
