Dr. Vuong specializes in evaluation and
treatment of diseases causing vision loss due to damage of the optic nerve and
visual pathways. She also focuses on the treatment of motility disorders.
Dr. Vuong is a board certified
ophthalmologist who earned her medical degree at Tufts University School of
Medicine and completed her residency training in ophthalmology at Tufts New
England Eye Center. She completed her fellowship training in
neuro-ophthalmology at Emory Eye Center at Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta.
Dr. Vuong holds the academic appointment of assistant professor of
ophthalmology at Tufts University School of Medicine.
Her special interest includes diseases of
the optic nerve including optic neuritis, idiopathic intracranial hypertension,
and ischemic optic neuropathy. She is especially interested in the use of
optical coherence tomography to evaluate the different layers of the retinal in
different types of optic neuropathies.
Dr. Vuong is fluent in Vietnamese.
