Dr. Richard received her Bachelor’s Degree from the
University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
She then went on to receive her Doctorate of Optometry degree from New
England College of Optometry in Boston.
There she was the president of the Lion’s Club. She went on to complete internships at VA
Jamaica Plain and New England Eye. Upon
graduation, she worked in private practice in the greater Boston area gaining
valuable experience in co-management of LASIK patients and monitoring medical
conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes
Dr. Richard joined Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston in 2012,
as a member of Dr. Peter Rapoza’s team.
She specializes in primary care optometry, contact lens fitting for
irregular corneas such as those of patients with keratoconus and who have
undergone prior corneal transplantation.
She also has experience in managing pre and post-operative surgical
patients with a primary focus on cornea and cataract surgeries.
Dr. Richard and her family reside in the suburbs of
northeastern Massachusetts. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her
young children, running and reading.
