Dr. Richard grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina. She attended The University of North Carolina at Wilmington, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree which led her to the New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree. She completed internships at VA Jamaica Plain in Boston and the prestigious New England Eye. Upon graduation, Dr. Richard went on to practice primary care optometry in the greater Boston area gaining valuable experience in co-management of laser refractive patients, and monitoring medical conditions including glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetes.
Dr. Richard is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Massachusetts Society of Optometrists.Dr. Richard and her husband currently reside in the suburbs of northeastern Massachusetts. Doctor Richard assists the Boston Lion’s Club with free vision screenings and is a volunteer with the National Braille Press of Boston. She enjoys exercise, traveling and exploring rail trails in New England neighborhoods along with her husband on their new bikes.
