Biography
Community Service: Board of Directors ñ Prevent Blindness Connecticut 2003-2004
Dr. Taylor was born and raised in western Maine where he attended the University of Maine and received a bachelors degree in Zoology. He then entered the Pennsylvania College of Optometry and obtained his Doctorate of Optometry degree.
Dr. Taylor knew that he wanted to return to New England so he chose to do his residency at the West Roxbury Veterans Hospital. There Dr. Taylor completed a residency in hospital based and primary care optometry.
In 1995 Dr. Taylor joined Opticare, a large multi-disciplinary practice located in Connecticut. He was a solo practitioner in a very busy satellite office in Southbury. He practiced there for eleven years where he met his wife of 5 years.
She was invited to continue her career in child protective services for an agency in Boston which led them to relocate to Massachusetts in 2006.
Dr. Taylor was then invited to join OCB and Dr. Shingletonís team and he is excited about the opportunity to practice for such a respected organization.![]()
