Biography
Mark P. Hatton, M.D. specializes in cosmetic plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids and adjacent face, lacrimal disorders, ptosis (drooping lids), eyelid tumors, and disorders of the orbit (eye socket) such as thyroid eye disease.

Dr. Hatton completed residency at the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary where he was selected Chief Resident and held the positions of Associate Chief of Ophthalmology and the Director of Eye Trauma. He remained at Mass Eye and Ear to complete a two-year fellowship in oculoplastics, orbit, and cosmetic surgery.

His awards include election to the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society, Merck Medical Student Award, and New England Ophthalmologic Society Award for best research. He has authored or co-authored more than 30 medical journal articles and text chapters, and has presented research at 20 national medical meetings.
