Laser vision correction, or Refractive Surgery, improves natural vision by reshaping the cornea to help focus light rays more precisely on the retina. Less than perfect vision, measured as your refractive error, occurs because the transparent part of your eye that covers the iris and pupil (the cornea) and the lens, located behind the iris and pupil, do not focus light rays precisely on the retina.
