Biography
Dr. Rothman attended Brandeis University where he graduated cum laude with a degree in General Science and a minor in Physics. He received his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine and completed an internship in Internal Medicine at the Deaconess Hospital, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Rothman went on to become a research fellow in Ophthalmology prior to completing an Ophthalmology residency, both at the New England Eye Center, Tufts University School of Medicine. This was followed by subspecialty training at the New England Eye Center and Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston as a research and clinical fellow in cornea and external disease. He has experience in evaluating and treating patients with corneal and anterior segment diseases, including complex dry eye disease, allergic eye disease, and contact lens-induced eye problems.
Dr. Rothman has published in multiple medical journals. He has also written book chapters on corneal transplant complications and allergic conjunctivitis. He has conducted extensive clinical research on allergic conjunctivitis, contact lens eye drop safety, and dry eye disease.
Dr. Rothman is certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology. He is also a member of the Massachusetts Medical Society and New England Ophthalmological Society.
Dr. Rothman has a special interest in external eye disease and dry eye therapies. ![]()
