Cataracts

Evaluation and Keratometry

In order to choose the appropriate intraocular lens power for the eye, the corneal curvature and length of the eye must be measured. These measurements are painless and take only minutes. This and other information are then entered into an in-office microcomputer programmed to calculate the correct implant power. Normal glasses, as opposed to cataract glasses, are still worn for accurate fine focusing at far and near distances.
