She grew up in Texas, where she received her medical degree and completed her Ophthalmology residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. She then completed a Vitreoretinal Fellowship at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston and the New England Eye Center/Tufts University School of Medicine. Dr. Cleary has been a Sub-Investigator in several large clinical trials for age-related macular degeneration. In addition to age-related macular degeneration, she also treats patients with retinal detachments, diabetic retinopathy, myopic degeneration, macular holes, epiretinal membranes, and other diseases of the retina.
